THE BETRAYALS OF WOMEN.

How trustworthy are your female friends? Do you tell them all your secrets? How many men you have been with? How many abortions you have had and how good your man is in bed? How you snatched Chioma's boyfriend. How the son you have with Tony don't belong to him.... The problem of women most times is caused by their fellow women. They gossip and spread rumours about each other. They don't mind dating a man who is in a relationship or married to their friends. It is common knowledge among the male folks that one of the easiest women to take to bed are usually the friends of your girl friend or wife.  Once they are jealous of her, they become easy targets. They arrange to meet the man, telling him stories about his girlfriend or wife. They tell him secrets about his woman. Secrets he doesn't know about. Many relationships have been broken because the man most times acts on this secrets and calls off the relationship or marriage. If the man is rich, handsome a...

Virus...A lesson from the movie "3 idiots".

If you haven't seen the celebrated Bollywood "3 idiots"... I rest my case. For those of us that deemed it necessary to see a movie that could teach one more about friendship and true education than anything else can, I like to invite us to take a closer look at one of the characters of that groundbreaking movie. Not Rancho. Virus. If one were asked to draw up a list of lessons gleaned from the Rancho character, I believe that the list will be endless. The reason is not farfetched: in him is no guile; he is a perfect human being in every sense of that word. What about Virus? Everything was wrong with the man. For driving his own son to suicide, his daughter Pia accused him of murder. For driving his student, Joy Lobo, to suicide, Rancho accused him of murder. In one word, he was the Hitler of Imperial College of Engineering, ICE. While we take Virus for an undesirable element, we shouldn't forget to imbibe the one thing that was great about him: Time management...

FALZ...I KNOW YOU'RE THE BAHD GUY, BUT DON'T JOIN THE BAD WAGON. Celebrity BabyMama...the most lucrative Nigerian Business. Written by Ijeoma Esther Ogbuka

The "Baby Mama", "Baby daddy" syndrome is almost eating up the fabrics of our society and infusing its poisonous venom in every facet especially the entertainment industry. It is fast becoming the most lucrative business in Nigeria for ladies to give birth out of wedlock so long as the biological father is a celebrity or Super star. You both secretly went into the room, did what you did with legs spread, that wasn't enough. You went ahead to give us evidence of what you ate in the secret, behind the watchful eyes of your friends and fans. I guess the door was secured with lock and keys as well probably under dim green or red bulbs. Being a celebrity Baby Mama is fast becoming a means to acquire fame, and other benefits that comes with it if the "Baby daddy" in question is well known and very talented especially in the music world or the entertainment industry. Ladies struggle, hustle and pass through burning furnace just to have a child for these m...

I AM A MAN!!!... SO WHAT? ( The silent Agony of the male folks)

Ladies always think the society and every force that be works alternatively for most of their misfortune. In a world where both genders expected to complement each other are busy pointing accusing fingers, women especially think they're rare specie more than the male folks and no one have ever taken a single minute to consider what men pass through daily, simply because they don't complain. Men suffer in silence unlike women that makes noise, shout and scream at just a slightest of pain. Its never easy to be a man. Viewing through their lens, I concur to the fact that God foresaw a lot ahead and purposely gave men the power to dominant because they're the best fit for that role. 1.Because I am a man, I always have to make the first move in almost everything because that's what's expected of me at every point in time. Once I fail in taking the first step which I'm unsure of what the outcome will be, I'm tagged a weakling, a coward and a woman simply becaus...

I AM A WOMAN!!!.... so what?

I AM A WOMAN!!! - So what? I get into an argument with a man, he slaps me, I feel the pain, my eyes turn red, my cheek burns like fury, i cry, i wail, i cringe in pain and sought for rescue. I saw the crowd ( men and women gathering), a sense of hope springs forth, justice will finally appear unscathed. I explain myself, the best way i could, in words so clear like crystals, he was obviously wrong yet they told me I provoked him. I should have been quiet, I should have been patient. I should apologize to him, don't I know he's a man? I get into an argument with a man which led to an assault, I slap him, they tell me I have no respect, no home training. I should have been quiet, I should have been patient. I should apologize to him, Ajo Nwanyi. Because I am a woman, I don't have a right to be angry. So, the degree of my innocence is directly proportional to the degree of my silence in the face of oppression and brutality..... I should always and forever remain at th...

12 DEADLY MISTAKES MEN MAKE IN RELATIONSHIPS.

We all know that relationships can be tough. They begin with an awkward dating period where both persons are on their best behavior. After a few months, those curtains start to unravel and you begin to see shadows of the real person. Men often make a number of relationship blunders during these crucial initial phases, and I'm here to help you recognize the 12 worst ones. If you're just getting started in a relationship, or part of a long-term affair, get pen and paper. (Or, you could just print it!). You'll want to keep track of these tips. 1)Giving a woman too much power. Guys usually get into trouble when they allow a woman to have too much (if not all) of the control in a relationship. She decides when you go out; she decides when you Be Intimate; she decides which friends you can keep; and may even decide what color slacks you should wear to a party. These types of scenarios are classic examples of a man believing that he doesn't deserve to be with a certain t...

FACTS ABOUT THE HYMEN AND VIRGINITY

A virgin is a person who has never had any form of sexual intercourse before being it *penovaginal, anal or oral SEX* ....period! Couple of years back, in order to encourage people who have had sex before to abstain, the term *secondary virginity* was introduced. *Hymen*: _is a thin membrane that partly covers the vagina. There are different types of hymen and some can even cover the vagina entirely (imperforated)._ Unfortunately, a lot of people use the presence or absence of the hymen to determine a female's virginity. That can be very deceptive because there are so many ladies out there without their hymen but have never had sex before. Sadly, they are expected to bleed on their first sexual intercourse and if it doesn't happen, then it means they told a lie. This controversy has gone on for decades and still going on. A lot of boyfriends and husbands have all lost trust for their partners due to this issue of virginity. _Is there anything which determines that...

YETSHE STAYED..

One question I have always asked myself about girls and women who are domestically abused which is one thing common with them all is "why stay? Sweet heart, why stay? This people, for one or two reasons will stay or even give the relationship a second, third, fourth chance, and infinite no of chances. Because they believe that things can change. The man can change. Truth is that the man in question might not get to change if strict and absolutely right measures are not taken. Tricia A woman in her late 30ies. A mother of three kids. It all started the first day she confront her husband. Honey, "why are you coming back by this time"? This is not how you used to be.. Let's be the way we were before we had kids. I need the man I married not a 'drunkard". The inebriated husband gifted her a slap whose sound woke up their neighbours. But then, she stayed. Reason: because of my kids. No, the kick boxing didnt not stop because she gave him reason to c...

GO HIGHER !

Having problems is not a problem but rather a lesson. * "Venomous snakes were being ferried from Africa to Europe in a plane. Unfortunately the person who packed the snakes forgot to lock the box in which the snakes were put. Once the plane had taken off and responding to the movement of the plane, the snakes found their way out of the box.. Passengers in the plane could see various snakes on the isle. They screamed, some fainted and the brave ones sought refuge wherever they could within the plane." The air hostess ran to the pilot to inform him of the scary incident. The pilot quickly informed the air traffic controller on the ground. "We are very very sorry, said his boss. We forgot to lock the box where we put the snakes. They are indeed some of the most poisonous snakes in the world". "So where can I land? Please advise me before passengers are bitten", asks the shaky pilot. "No do not land, stay there for a minute, let me think", advised t...

MY RESPECT FOR "ANNIE IDIBIA".

I woke this morning not with the thoughts of rapture nor heaven , vision nor purpose but with Annie Idibia, the wife of the popular artist, 2face or Innocent Idibia so enamoured on my mind. Many may not see her as an example of a virtuous lady while others might think the wives of likes of Bishop Oyedepo, Pastor Adeboye , Pastor Chris and  and other clergies should be the perfect example for a young Christian Lady. I don't totally buy that idea because even God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise  and the earth is the Lord's and its fullness thereof....Halleluyah. I have never met Annie before and may never meet her my entire life but I must tell you.... SHE IS A VIRTUOUS WOMAN. Yes, the kind of woman Proverbs 31 talks about. Annie is full of Grace, an incomprehensible one at that. I have an unadulterated respect for her even without her knowing if someone like me exist or not. A woman married to a Music Legend whose wits, skills and de...

THE PASTOR'S WIFE ( LAST EPISODE)

Dear Diary, I rolled out of bed looking like a corpse bride. I was grudgingly wandering around the room and looking for what to wear to Church that morning. Then I noticed everywhere was calm and quiet. "Where are my children?" I asked myself. I hurriedly ran out to check and didn't find anyone at home. Then I saw a yellow sticky note on the reading desk. I opened it hastily and it read 'Breakfast set for my pregnant wife, see us in church for a welcome party. love, David.' There was something about this particular Sunday morning, it had a smell of peace, love and hope. When David broke my heart I wept, but the holy spirit led me to job 22:38 which says "thou shall decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee; and the light shall shine upon thy ways." Then I went to him and cried out my eyes, I decreed that I wanted my home back, my husband and the church we founded together, he heard me. It's amazing how things can change ba...

THE PASTOR'S WIFE ( Episode 22)

It felt like I was watching a movie, there was tension in the air. I had never seen Georgina with such countenance; She was dry faced and tensed. "I gave birth to you my son" she said in a shaky voice. "Is the holy bishop still in denial?" Lizzy asked sarcastically. Everyone was in shock, we all placed a  gaze on Georgina. "This was meant to be a secret I was gonna die with. I promised my mother not to reveal it to anyone. My mother believed that bishop Georgina did her a huge favor by sending her to school and taking adoption of her son." "Jesus Christ!" David exaggerated. "Georgina was afraid that my mother was going to come back for her son afterwards. when you were 2years old David, she took you to a place in India called  Hussan Takri's shrine in India and casted a spell on you. She lied to her husband that she was going for an international christian women's conference. She told my mom this out of anger. She nev...

THE PASTOR'S WIFE (Episode 21)

It was raining. I can't remember the exact time it was, but I knew it was midnight. I felt something on my face, and tried to pull it off, before realizing it was an oxygen tube. Lizzy held my hands to make sure I don't make further movements. "You will be fine." she whispered. Then I noticed that I wasn't lying on my bed, the mattress was softer. There were lots of people in the room, I tried to open my eyes forcefully. "she is opening her eyes." A tiny loud voice said. My stomach dropped, and I could hear my heartbeat come to an abrupt halt on the monitor. Then my eyes caught up with David, he was carrying Mfon in his arms, he had bandage tied around his neck. I stared at him in complete utter and disbelief as my heart picked again. Lizzy's eyes were wet with anger and tears. I knew she wanted to tell me something, a lot of things. "you will be fine bestie." she said soothingly. I was surprise that Lizzy would refer ...

THE PASTOR'S WIFE (Episode 20)

*"Mummy, What Did You Do To My Daddy?"* When Lizzy hung up the call, I became afraid as my heart fluttered. I felt like my problems got bigger by the day. "mummy, what did you do to my daddy?" Teye asked, as she gave me a leveled gaze. "Don't ask me silly questions!" I yelled. I was feeling so down and unhappy, nothing could calm me at that moment. There was heaviness in my heart. A combination of sadness, worries and regret. I wished I had a time machine where I could turn back to the time where this conflict all started. From when I left for America, to when I went to report David to the police. "Mummy stop, we are home!" Mfon said shrilly. I sighed and took a reverse immediately. My mind had gone far in thoughts. **** That night, sleep ran away from my eyes. when I closed my eyes, all I saw was David brutally beaten by the rude police men. My thoughts were interrupted by my phone, and my sister Abigail was the c...

THE PASTOR'S WIFE ( Episode 19)

I began to slightly calm down and nodding my head. I took a deep breath before answering all the questions the police men asked, my heart was beating like I was facing my worse fears. "Madam you say na this pastor dey disturb you?" the awkward looking police officer asked, he was holding David's photograph in his hands. "yes, he harasses me everywhere I go. last week, he stalked me at my daughters school." "na tiv him be." another police officer said. "no. na kidnappers dey follow people like that, when they know that you get fine motor, they follow you everywhere. " "madam, do you know the man or where he lives." another officer asked. "he is my ex husband." I said, my voice faltered as I brought my head down a bit. The police officers looked at me with their mouth wide open. "You mean am madam?" "yes. THE PASTOR'S WIFE ( Episode 18)

The kids looked out of the window as we drove into our new compound. "Our new house is fine mommy." Teye whispered faintly. "yes it is." I loved that the house was far from the main road. I loved that it was far from all the bright lights and noise, far from anyone who knew David. The estate securities were excitedly sociable. "Wehcome madam oh....yor shilren are too bitifu." they said excitedly in different tones as they opened the main "thank you." I said calmly. As we alighted from the car, the sight of our new house was peaceful and fascinating to look at. The walls were made of brisks. And they were coconut trees flanking on the front yard. The kids and I began to pack out our boxes and food stuffs from the car. "mommy, this place is far from school." Mfon broke the silence. "You won't be schooling there anymore. I will register you and your sister at a new school here on the mainland." I said w...

THE PASTOR'S WIFE ( Episode 17)

Mfon and Teye began to push their boxes to the center of the room, just as I ordered them to do. It was the easiest work their tiny hands could do. "Mummy why are we packing?" Teye asked. "The day after tomorrow, we will be leaving for the mainland." I said, folding the clothes into a basket. "but mummy our school is on the Island." Mfon said. I nodded silently. "yes I know. no more questions, let's start packing. you both should gather all your clothes, a truck will be here to start packing." They continued to push the drawers and their boxes with all their might. After few moments, the kids paused. "mommy we are tired." Mfon said weakly, giving a childish attitude. "me too mummy." Teye said. "Let's all rest a bit." Teye laughed and blew an exaggerated kiss back. Mfon and I joined in the laugh, it was a meaningless laugh, Teye made us happy. My laughter subsided, but a wistful smil...

THE PASTOR'S WIFE ( Episode 16)

Red glowing eyes stared back at me, and I tried to see clearly who it was. Metal claws closed over my forearm tightly, and I whimpered. Then I noticed he looked like David, the man with the red eye had his height and shape of his head. Then the strange being suddenly turned into my mother inlaw. The fear finally began to set in as my heart pumped. "Ekomobong!" Her deep voice rumbled and echoed at the same time. I woke up immediately sitting upright in shock, it was a dream. The bed was soft under me, but the covers were thickly hot. I was sweating through my pyjamas shirt. I looked at the other bed, Teye was sleeping peacefully wrapped in her pink mickey mouse duvet. My heart eased a bit, I kept repeating in my head that it was only a nightmare. "Mummy are you okay?" Mfon asked, her voice was soft and tender, I held her into my arms. ""yes, I am fine my love."  I said as I pulled her under the sheet and covered her up. The feeling that o...

THE PASTOR'S WIFE ( Episode 15)

I remember the pain in her eyes more than anything else. Then I remembered the pains I went through when my husband left me for her. I imagined her in bed with David, I imagined him kissing her and making love to her. I thought to myself, what if the baby was his, what if the baby wasn't SS genotype? What if? Then she wouldn't have been here kneeling right in front of me. She wouldn't have been preparing for the wedding, happily preparing to marry David. Bitter resentment crawled inside of me, making my anger boil. Part of me wanted to just beat her up, scream obscenities at her,  and send her out of the house. Then the other part  wanted to forgive her and let her go. Then my heart reminded me that God rewrote my story, it was up to me to make it beautiful. When I finally tried to recollect myself, breaking away from the hurtful thoughts that I had been in. I took a good look at Ifeoma, my fist literarily clenched. "You can go now, I have forgiven you....

THE PASTOR'S WIFE ( Episode 14)

It took me few minutes to compose myself and face her. "What do you want from me Ifeoma? What else do you want?" I asked her meanly, while she looked at me with stoned expressionless face. "I came here to clear my mind to you, to confess and seek for your forgiveness madam." my heart was beating at a faster rate than ever. "ghen, ghen! what more do you have to say? we all know you slept with pastor David."  Lizzy said and shook her head sympathetically. "There is more." "don't tell us you used juju or charms on pastor." Lizzy asked with her eyes wide open. "tufiakwa, I am a christian, I can't do that." "if I hear! you? hmmm. what you did to your madam is what a witch can do, it's same as using juju of course? talk please time is going." Ifeoma looked at me, and then Lizzy. "I was in love with Usman when I first came here. He loved me too. He even said he was going to marry me....
