Don't be taken aback by the caption I chose to give this.No better
word exist to dilute the title with something more soothing or less
offensive. I remember the words of Alexandre Dumas
"A man who doubts himself is like a man who enlists in the ranks of
the enemy and bears arms against himself. He makes his failure certain
by being the first to be convinced of it."
"Emeka was a young man that any woman will indulge in acetic fasting
just to hear him propose. He was blessed with unique features so rare
to find in men of 21st century...he was too homely, graced with high
culinary skills and kind hearted . He graduated from the university,
packed his luggage and travelled back to his village to take care of
his aged parents...(His excuse). He is the third son in a family of
four men and one pretty lady. His siblings left their rickety house in
search of greener pastures in the city yet Emeka did not flinch. He's
so comfortable with village life and the peanut he siphon once in a
while when his siblings send money to their parents. That means a lot
of comfort to him. Now, he's Forty, not married, no maximum
achievement, no working experience, no child from his loins to call
his own. He's just existing.
People who are less adventurous, afraid to take calculated risks,
sceptical of the next positive step to take, advertently doubtful of
their plans, always hiding in the crowd, underachievers, surely has a
secret. There's something that distinquishes achievers. This means
there's something achievers know that underachievers don't know and
there's something underachievers do that achievers don't do. The first
underachievers secret is "lack of confidence". A belief in one's self
is without doubt the greatest asset of all. Even great wealth,
fame,prestigious titles can't compensate for a poor self-image. Time
and energy devoted to building your confidence are nothing less than
investments in your whole life. While thousands are busy cringing and
shying away from real life, why don't you brace up and wear the
garment of confidence. Now you know the underachievers secret, you
need to do exactly the opposite to get a positive result. The reality
of life is...."results cancels all insults". No one is in the mood for
self motivated speeches. We all want to see results. Even Christ
understood this deep yearning in the hearts of people for results...he
did all manner of miracles to this effect. No one is born to be an
"underarchiever". Its a choice some people unconsciously make.I warn
you... Don't make such a choice when you have a more dignifing option.
