ITS ALL LEFT IN YOUR HANDS TO DECIDE



A promising young monster had a dream of becoming a Scarer. That was his dream, his ambition , all he has ever prayed and lived for. He kept nursing his dream as he kept writing series of examinations just to gain admission into Monsters University. He failed severally till the day he got lucky and gained admission into the University. His first day in school, he observed what he never ever had thought about nor ever given a consideration which is "he is too handsome to be a monster".  All the monsters in his school looks like MONSTERS indeed. His handsomeness became his greatest challenge. Aside being a handsome monster, he's equally the smallest in size among his mates. Other monsters are gigantic in size and look like scarers but he looks so small.  This young monster was ridiculed by his mates, his lecturers, and was advised to quit nursing his dream of becoming a SCARER but he held on.

He was determined to become a SCARER . Yeah! he read  extensively, he studied vigorously, he burnt his midnight candle, he never missed a single lecture. He had an A+ in all his written  exams but it never erased his handsome looks. He looks too handsome to become a SCARER. Against all odds, he held on to his dreams. "Either I become a SCARER or nothing. He fought with some of his mates who told him he can't be a SCARER. One day, the practical aspect of the scaring test came and he failed. Children were not afraid of him at all. He couldn't scare a five year old kid. Yet he held on to his dream. He went ahead to enroll in Scaring competitions. He won several of them as it was more of team work. The success of the team was because of his brilliant ideas. His instructions worked out perfectly like magic. He was happy that he's age-long dream of being a SCARER is becoming a reality only for the school authorities to call him, telling him to leave the Scaring department to another department.

He was down trollen, devastated, frustrated and depressed. Is it his fault? He wasn't the one that created himself. He told the authorities to give him some time for him to prove himself. He was given a second chance but unfortunately, he ruined it by breaking one of the school rules. He was rusticated out of the University but he held on to his dream. He got a job in a Mailing company. The company has a lot of departments. From the mailing department, he got several promotions that took him to the Scaring department. After some years, the company made him their SCARING INSTRUCTOR because of the brilliant ideas that springs forth his mind. Students from Monsters University came to learn under his tutelage. HE DIDN'T BECOME A SCARER BUT BECAME THE INSTRUCTOR THAT TRAINS STUDENTS TO BECOME SCARERS. Did he achieve his life dream? You may ask . He may not have achieved his dream but he achieved something far more greater than his dream. I have come to the frightening conclusion that l am the decisive element of what my future becomes.

-l possess tremendous power to make life miserable or
 joyous
-l can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration
-l can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal.

It all lies in our hands to make something out of life. It all begins with discovering your area of strength, then followed by your dreams or aspiration. This determines the kind of goals you set for yourself which extends to drafting the right plans to help you achieve that goal.
Not everyone is born to be an actor. Some are born to be directors that will instruct the actors and actresses on how to effectively discharge their roles . Some are born to be Cameramen who will operate the movie camera.  Some are born to be the script writtters. Some are born to be printers and marketers. Yes! the actors and actresses are the most popular because the audience or viewers are familiar with them but without the directors, cameramen, script writtters, printers, marketers, they cannot act a movie. They won't be known. This means some people are born to work behind the scene while some are born to work right there on the scene.

The handsome monster was determined to make it. How determined are you to be what you want to be?  The handsome monster was rusticated  yet he didn't wallow in self-pity,  he held on firmly to his dream. How firmly do you hold on to your dreams when life complexities knocks you down? It all lies in your hands to either make it or give up. Left for me, I either make it or die trying. There's dignity in being a Lion in the jungle than being a dog in the city.

We live in a covetous world.
